Knowledge Exchange Series

Newly renamed to better reflect the collaborative nature of IONL’s education offerings, the KES provides webinars on a variety of current topics monthly throughout the year. Registration is FREE for members, and only $25 for non-members. 1.01.5 CE hours available for attendance at each session.

The Aspiring Nurse Leader Workshop is generally offered early in the year. This one-day workshop for newer and aspiring leaders covers nursing finance and staffing, legislation, process improvement, change management, improving stakeholder communications, dealing with workplace violence, resiliency, and more. Watch this space for more information on the next workshop.

Finance Workshop

This one-day workshop is designed for staff nurses, charge nurses, nurse coordinators, nurse managers and directors who want to learn more about specific financial topics related to nursing administration. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will be able to create an operating unit budget, develop tools for monitoring financial performance, apply knowledge of budgetary concepts and terminology, calculate a return on investment, examine state policy and advocacy initiatives, and understand what a successful partnership between nurse and finance leaders looks like.
